What is Heartstring therapy?
Heartstring Therapy is a term I felt encompasses the work I do as a Psychotherapist and as a human being. Let's dissect this backwards...for me, Therapy is a process of ideas, thoughts, emotions, experiences, adventures, emotions, feelings, and often what we seem to lack in our day to day lives. Why Heartstrings? Well, if you think about it, the physical feelings that anchor us often stem from the heart area in our bodies that is strung all over, connected to our brains, our hands, arms, feet, belly, legs, eyes, nose, mouth and backs. When we go through the process of psychotherapy, whichever therapeutic approach you are working with, we always strive to find that connection between the mind & the body- encompassing the soul.
So, this is where Heartstring Therapy originates from. It is our own unique journey in how we will be able to share our stories with each other, the way we use our Heartstrings.
